Frequently asked questions
Why does evrota ask for location permission?
"While Using the App" location access starts your route from your current position, powers turn-by-turn guidance and camera alerts during a trip, and lets you submit a mobile speed-camera report with one tap on the map. There is no background location tracking.
What happens if I deny location permission?
You can still plan a route with a manually chosen starting point; trip guidance and "Report camera" need location. You can grant the permission later from Settings.
Why is Sign in with Apple required?
An account is required to submit radar reports and to keep your vehicle and route data; anonymous reporting is not allowed, to prevent abuse. evrota uses only Sign in with Apple — there is no separate username or password.
How do I delete my account?
Garage → Account → Delete account. This immediately and irreversibly deletes your account and everything linked to it (saved routes, radar reports and your votes).
Where does the data come from?
Charging stations: Open Charge Map (CC BY 4.0) and OpenStreetMap via Overpass (ODbL 1.0). Vehicle specs: OpenEV Data (CDLA-Permissive-2.0) and manufacturer documentation. Routing: OSRM on OpenStreetMap data (ODbL 1.0). Tariffs: operators' own pricing pages, updated manually. Fixed speed cameras: Turkey's General Directorate of Security (EGM) public map and OpenStreetMap; currency is not guaranteed. evrota is not a radar detector; always obey posted speed limits.
Why do prices change?
Operator tariffs are updated manually and operators change prices often; verify the current price in the operator's own app before charging.
